Timeless movies #1 Singin’ In The Rain

Why did I take so long to watch such a classic movie?!?
I’m not that keen on musicals but I have to admit I definitely loved La La Land and that inspired me to watch other musicals especially because I read somewhere that La La land has lots of reference to classical musical movies.
During a university lecture our professor introduced us a scene of “Singin’ in the rain” to make us understand how sound system radically changed the industry of filmmaking and so today I decided to watch it entirely .tumblr_okenq9AGrC1qduh7lo1_540

Singin’ In the rain is the perfect musical to watch if you’re not that keen on this genre because it combines plot and performances perfectly ! Also this is that movie you should watch on a grey winter day under a blanket , you’ll surely feel better ‘cause it’s an explosion of colors and music !
Even if it’s a 1952’movie it appeals to every romantic girl on Earth ! who hasn’t complained about life after watching this movie ?!?
But also it depicts the transition between the Silent Era to the Sound System : how Hollywood stars and directors were affected by this revolution , let me say that the recording scene was one of the funniest but at the same time it clearly showed all the problems involving microphones and wires .
As a classic movie the plot is quite simple : love story , a villain and a happy ending , but every possible lacks is filled by joyful and catchy dancing performances!
A few lines about performances : they were brilliant ,cheerful and not boring at all ! Never loved tip tap so much ! I could watch Gene Kelly performing “Singin in the rain” all day : it’s truly a piece of art that makes me think about how Hollywood stars were talented : they could sing , act ,dance such versatile artists!
