Light hearted movies #1 “Magic In The Moonlight”

Take a good-looking naïve trickster and a rational british man ,  take a location such as South France : those are enough elements to create the perfect light-hearted ,apparently silly comedy brought by Woody Allen!
Surely Woody Allen is not my favourite director especially when it comes out with long and twisted monologues  but I infinitely enjoyed “Midnight in Paris” and “Matchpoint”  !
This is a comedy with philosophic  implications : on one side we have Sophie Baker , apparently  a fortuneteller claimed by everyone , and on the other side we have the strict and rational character portrayed by Colin Firth who tries to expose her scams ! As the action takes place they get to know each other and he starts to question his “material” beliefs that everything is as it seems and tha supernatural doesn’t exist .
Maybe it’s because of Colin Firth superbe acting skills but I loved his character : he was so serious that was almost funny !
I though that Emma Stone was perfect for her role , and her outfit were just adorable ! The thing I loved the most was how the lighting was used to give that magical atmosphere , I mean everyone looked angels , and the pastel colors that prevailed in the movie reminded me of Wes Anderson’s masterpieces!
Suggested if you want to relax but do not want to watch any American stupid comedies!
